Re: Should Australia break from the British Empire?

Our military power isnt advanced enough, we require support from nations such as USA and UK. Also, who else could we sell uranium to? the Taliban?

Yes. Because choosing to bail on the Commonwealth via democratic vote would surely incite the wrath of the United States of America, and cause them to sever the alliance. Of course.

What a retard. You're one of these people who stand in the way of change and reform just cos you don't understand the issue, aren't you?
Enjoy my neg rep as some consolation that at least you once had contact with great people, before falling into a pit of depravity and ignorance.

Anyone who voted no is automatically dismised on the grounds of being a white supremacist.

I was for it before I was against it

The reasons dont seem as attractive to me as they once were

i support the notion of australia becoming a republic. just for the fact that we get england to recognise us as a completly independant nation. but as for laws, politics and stuff. we are fine where we are now.

Iron I'm surprised you are so content with one of them being our head of state. I see no reason for the Crown to hold the constitutional powers that it does and would happilly see most of them transfered to the CJ of the High Court, The Prime Minister, The President of the Senate and in some cases just abolished. I would be very interested to know what contributions The Crown has made to Australia since November 11 1975 and at what cost to the Australian tax payer?

tbh i don't really mind if we do or not?

question though, can anyone sack a president if he screws up??? i do not really know much about this atm?
Well if we were to just nick Americas system like you seem to be suggesting than yes Presidents can be removed if the other authorities all believe he is not acting as he should. See Nixon, See Clinton, See Kennedy.

Unfunny troll is unfunny.

It's a republic so that's good. And the ideology practiced is socialism that is also good.

I think you mistakenly thought I meant national socialism, rather than a socialist republic. There is a huge difference there, as the first is not really socialism at all. In which case it is your own fault.

No he's just, in economic terms, a liberal. In normal speak he's greedy.
