it depends, if you wont be able to cope with mathematics next year drop down to general but if you can handle the work load, and understand the work keep mathematics.

i didnt understand mathematics. hated it during prelim. planned to drop maths completely. didn't. dropped to general. best thing i've ever done. i find it fun and interesting and while most parts are easy for me, there are still areas that i find challenging and difficult.

Don't drop it, it's not easy like you think, a guy at my school dropped from advanced 2 unit maths and got below 60% in the general exam. BTW there are way more opportunities at university for students who have completed the advanced maths course

Dude, drop Maths. It'll be the best decision you've ever made.

lol white chick.

And as for the uni thing, you can take bridging courses for anything, chem/phys/maths etc.

It's all on whether you think you'll benefit from it.

I did Advanced Maths all the way through highschool and I even started doing it during year 11. I dropped down to general maths and am now topping it, I think it's one of the better decisions I have made. Then again, I wasn't actually passing the advanced maths assessments. If you can, I recommend you try and stay in advanced as long as you can and if it eventually becomes too hard, then you can drop down later on.

Depends what kind of UAI you need and how good you are at your other courses.

I dropped to general and only occasionally attended for the last 3 months of the HSC and look at me now!

You can go home early if you do general maths.

I used to do 2U maths, I was struggling and it was taking up too much of my time I could be using to study for other courses.
I dropped to general maths, best decision I have made.
I just finished the prelim exam and I am confident in getting over 90%
compared to the barely passing of a 2U exam.
