Drop maths, keep Society. I do both.

The PIP is the best thing you'll ever do. And S&C is a subject that will help you no matter what path you choose to take.
Because Maths won't?

Then again, all the General Maths course does is try and push people into a trade.

im pretty sure being able to do basic maths equations is a bit more important and useful then learning about balinese culture.

granted other schools may not study that, but i did in SAC, and it was a joke. worst subject in nsw

I'd keep maths and droc SAC, but I didn't so SAC so i don't really know...I would figure that maths'd be more useful in the long run - especially if you want to get into uni, because a lot of/most courses have maths as assumed/recommended knowledge.

Ultimately, it is your decision. Try and consider what you would like to pursue after school, compare the subjects, and decide on what is more likely to help you

Don't do Society and Culture unless you're prepared to work hard

I agree with the advice noir.'s given. Not that I do SAC, but 85% of teachers I've consulted say that Maths opens up your options more, and I have a friend who does SAC (albeit by distance education, since my year is too D&T-savvy) - she says it's quite a lot of work.

And xclusv2bhung has a good point, too. :p
