i was wondering, what do u think are some significant texts to the development of crime fiction?

umm try starting with edgar allen poe. he's like the father of the crime fiction genre so to speak. umm agatha christie is good too
look at how crime fiction developed differently in Britain as opposed to America. theres a good website about the history of crime fiction i'll find out what it is and let you know
