A particle moves in simple harmonic motion with acceleration a=-49x and initially the particle is 1m to the right of the origin.
Find the maximum speed of the particle, and find the times when displacement is 0.5m.
Thanks

Initially the particle is 1m to the right of the origin... so how fast is it going initially?

is it at rest 1m right of the origin? or do we not know what its velocity was when t=0

We'd need to know what it is to do the Q. I guess just assume it's 0 so that you can get practice by doing the Q.
