hey,.wat do u guys think of usin simpsons as a related text...the episode is realli great for imaginative jounerys-has all the techniques and ideas on journeys, but would teachers scorn upon it? and mark me down?

Which one were you thinking of?
On a different note, teachers shouldnt mark you down on what texts you use. They should mark you down becaue you didnt "use them propely". The simpsons is a very sophisticated series, and each episode is based on a movie. There is so much political/social satire, and irony in there, that i dont know why people just take it as a comedy series and dont appreciate its value of the relection of american culture.
IMO, i think it is fine, just be careful and pick the most suitable one for your argument

I used the simpsons as a related material... although I did physical journeys. For imaginateive you could choose that one where thy go to the chilli cook-off... remember that one? hehe... if you dont PM and Ill tell you what happens.

Its episode number 3F24 and its called El Viaje Misteriouso De Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer)

I not sure if The Simpsons can be considered an Imaginative Journey for the msot part but if you can justify it then i suppose it would be ok.
