Ok so im stuck again.

I need to solve cos(2x + Pi/4) so that i can sketch it.
i can get it down to 1/sqrt(2)(cos2x+sin2x). But then i get stuck when trying to use the different cos2x solutions and how to simplify it down to just get it in terms of cos.

Can anyone help??

If you need to sketch the graph then:

firstly, draw the graph of cos2x with a period of pi, amplitude of 1
then, shift the graph pi/8 units to the left.

I think that's how u do it

Close.
Shift it pi/4 to the left.
