Is everyone meant to do 2 Viva Voces??? We are... one is this wk, the other is next term.

yeah we definitely only have one viva voce... we only have three internal assesments all up: proposal, viva voce and 'report: the effect of independent investigation on your major work'

We have 4 internal assesment, but only one Viva.

Ours goes proposal, viva voce (beginning of term 2), then report A and report B.

you have to do TWO vivas? that would be hard.... how many ppl are on the panels of most vivas? do u have all english teachers, or teachers from other faculties or what?

its 2 teachers.. both are our regular english ext 2 teachers.. but we have to do it in front of a group of about 5-10 ppl who are doing it the same period as us

we do our viva with 3 teachers: our normal extension teacher, head english teacher, and last years extension teacher... but we don't have an audience, its in a private interview room.

we have to do our viva to an english teacher (not involved with the extension program) to a teacher from another faculty (last year i think it was the head of pe...) and someone like the assistant deputy principal. they say they do this so there's no bias... i'm not sure though. and it's just u and the panel, no audience or anything. how long do most go for?

my viva is tomorrow...

out of the 180 people in my grade, about 25 do ext 2. our school day is 4 periods long, so about 5-8 (depending on personal preference, we get to choose what period we do it in) are doing the viva at the time. the fellow students dont mark it, only the two teachers , who are our regular ext 2 teachers. we're meant to go for min 8 mins and max 12 mins.

i also have a maths test tomorrow

wow... a four period day... sounds kinda exciting... our days are 8.5 periods.

and our vivas have to go for 20-25 mins... but yeah, seeing as they are in term 3, we should have plenty to talk about (heck, i always have plenty to say!)

my proposal was smashed,
he ripped it apart, so i had to re-write an entirely new proposal (a complete 180 turn in the direction where i was headed)

we have 2 viva voce's too
one at the beginning of term 2,
and another at the end of term 2.
