snell's law

sin(i)/sin(r) = v1/v2 = n2/n1 = wavelength(1) / wavelength (2)

i = angle of incidence

r = angle of refraction

n= refractive index of medium

1 - refers to medium one

2 - refers to medium two

Special Case when r=90 also known as the critical angle.

sub r=90 giving sin90 = 1

no offense, but I thought I was bad at physics .. did you touch on snells law in class? For me it was one of the easiest things to learn ..

but yeah, I think I find the few topics we did this terms a bit confusing seeing as though we had to rush through them ..
