: / I was working on the day that the UAI results were being released and as a result my mother found them for me and then found last years requirement for Journalism at UTS. She told me my UAI of 93.3 and then told me that the cutoff last year was 89.6, as a result I was pretty happy. It seemed a little odd to me because I had remembered it being in the 90's, but she told me that that was international studies at a 92.75 so I didn't worry.

Fastforward to today, I was altering my preferences when I noticed that it was in fact a 94.6, the booklet my mother read was for dfee (even though it doesn't say so anywhere in the book, only on a little orange piece of paper that was separate from the book).

So, uh, yeah, here's hoping that rumor I heard at open day about the UAI requirement dropping this year is true.

Sorry, did you miss the part where I said I was at work and my mother was so eager to find out my results that she did it for me?

No? I thought History, Religion and LEgal studies were and I did well in them, but I never really commented on it.

Your results. Tell her to mind her own business.

Maybe your mum has a bit of money. Anyways, do put down Journ. at UTS as first but don't despair if you didn't make it. Try another Uni or just another course altogether. I wish ya well.

She's offered dfee but I don't really want her to have to pay that much. Yeah I know there are other ways, that alternate entrance they're offering, social enquiry and transferring after a year, it's just not as good as... actually making it in.

Haven't we been over this? I trusted her and the pamphlet didn't mention anywhere that it was dfee so I trusted the pamphlet.
