Yeah, the first two broken bolts in my clutch boss came out smooth as.

The third one broke my 'easy out' off inside the bolt :mad1:

Nothing to grip to twist it out. Trying riets idea of drilling it from the other side, which I have access to, but I think the drill will just hit the 'easy out', which is harder than any drill.

Helicoil ugh.

put some oil in it

or blowtorch it

or get a really strong drill bit

Carbide grinding tips in a dremel can eat away at the easy out, or get a blow torch, heat to red hot, then splash cold water on it. It should crack because its a brittle metal.

yo dude a drill probably wont make it through a steel bolt let alone an easy out... pretty much you are fucked. Also I didnt mean to drill through it. I meant drill up to thread, insert a screw of same diameter but longer length and screw that in from the other side, mechanical advantage and all.

Of course you can drill through bolts?

The first two came out without using the easy out. I just drilled holes in them, and when I put the drill in reverse to remove the bit, the broken bolt came out with it. So presumably if I drove a bit in forwards, through the other side, they might be driven out.

It's okay, I'll just use my EDM.
