if arsenal don't give him an extension he said he'll retire. he wants to finish playing at the highest level, so unless ajax offers him soem player/coach role i doubt he'll do it. and it would leave us very lightweight upfornt next year with kanu and wiltord not havong signed extensions yet.

Arsenal were always lightweight up front without Henry (and the aging Dutchman). At least they have Reyes, now.

As for Liverpool, it would be a safe safe bet that they won't qualify for the ECL on the last day as Newcastle repeat a Chelsea. And Houllier gets the sack.

Once Houllier is sacked, then Liverpool might have a chance of qualifying. Because 'sif Arsenal and Man Utd aren't going to qualify. And Chelsea will get better once they become a team.
