Well, they (England) only have themselves to blame. Although, I bet the French weren't feelin' all the great themselves.

Did anyone catch the Swiss Cro game before the big one?

God that was dire football. Enough tho I had money on the game I felt like watching cartoons instead halfway through it.

Didn't see it, but I guess the scoreline says as much. Was Italian playing 4-3-3?

Did get up to see some of the Sweden-Bulgaria game though, and Sweden really looked pretty good..admittedly against probably the weakest opposition in the tournament, but still good to watch. This should be a fairly close group now Italy's choked

'Ruud (van Nistelrooy) played the whole season at Manchester United, so if Advocaat starts with him because he is in better shape then it is his choice.

'It leaves me with no alternative but to prove the contrary.

'That Ruud and I didn't work out together is not only our failure. Together we had to cover too much space and made runs of 50 meters, while I think our midfielders were supposed to do that.'
oooo..bitterness....

typical happy holland team spirit

Well, after seeing the Portuguese capitulate against Greece, it was no suprise. You have the might and power of a portuguese player dominated local club such as FC Porto yet squabbling means that half of this team is denied a place in the team because power brokers are being stubborn.... bah.

Ahwell.... biggest surprise will be Sweden, they dominated in that 5-Zip win and looked like a force, well organised in both attack and defence and seemingly very good communication.

Zie Deutsche played sehr gut.. Ballack was dere beste player.

Trust Rude VanTapIn to score inside the six yard box.. although it was quite a volley...

i think Europe have been sucked into the 'Ronaldo Craze' by Merchandise United... Bastien Schweinsteiger is teh real deal.. only 19 and yet came off the bench and dominated against zie Dootch.

Overmars really added some momentum to the Dutch game.. Zenden wasn't doing much on the left but when overmars came on he ran at players, made crosses, won fouls.. quite valuable.

Ceska Republika - Latvija.. not a bad game.. Heinz was very impressive, but Latvia were good also.. the way the played they would have beaten Portugal..
