heya, can anyone breifly describe for me the Nazi party's view of socialism?

I don't understand how the party consolidated their desire to be known as a socialist party and their open hatred and violence towards communism.

I know that Hitler sometimes used the terms "communist" and "Jew" interchangabley.

They weren't really socialist in the term we know it today. Hitler's view was that as long as all companies and people worked for Germany, they didnt need regulation or control.

You could argue that the beneifts for workers (such as the Strength through Joy and Beauty of Work initiatives) were purely to increase worker morale and support for the Nazi regime, because wages didnt increase very much at all after the Nazis took power in 1933. Hitler was not bound by ideology and he never believed in public ownership or redistribution of wealth; his idea of socialism was that everyone should work for national policy. This is the "socialism" bit - he didnt stop big businesses from funtioning in Germany and capitalism thrived.

As you can see its not really socialism at all
