I suppose we should exchange some personal information as well. I was naive enough to actually stop and talk to a few of them at O-week. Their causes were something of interest to me. But as soon as one of them said something to the effect of "We do not agree with the ideology of Stalin, we follow the writings of Leon Trotsky (whom you probably haven't heard of)" I knew I had to get out of there.
I am Russian, my great-grandmother lived through the revolution and her descendants, including my mum, grew up and lived in the USSR. I know exactly who Trotsky is. And his works are fucking terrifying.
