would anyone know what we need to know for the option topic tomorrow??
i know this stuff:
Binary to Decimal convertion, Vice versa
Hex and Octal
Logic Gates
Flipflops
IEEE32 and 64 bit
is that enough or do i need to know more? cause i think i need to know stuff such as the data streaming and that

- the need to recognise and strip control characters
- extracting the data

- responding to sensor information
- specifying motor operations

printer operation
- control characters for features including page throw, font change, line spacing

u gots me thinkn now.
i GUESS its based on binary equations.. hex.. logic gates (and combinations of them)... data packets (tho they gota tell us how it works in the exam anyways)

i didnt go over octal.. but how hard can it be.. oo... all base 8y
and didnt go over IEEE32 and 64bit.. WTF?

edit: soz u posted while i was typn. heres a reply for ya:

all the stuff in that syllabus that u put in is mostly based on devices which hav diff data packets.. which means they gota specify... so kno the concept and should be right.

hmm u dont need to know octal
its just hex anyway... just that they do it in 3 bit binary thingo rather than 4... dont let me confuse u.. just ignore it...
but ye i think you would need to know how to do IEEE but hasnt been asked in an exam... actually it was in this year's catholic i think.. i doubt it appearing in the hsc paper..

I'll give u a detailed description how to do it later lol right now i'm studying for my food tech exam .

Focus a bit on data streaming, its been in the paper every yr as far as i can tell. IEEE's are rare cases for some reason.

I did the same too. During the holidays, instead of studying for exams i was LEARNING!

Edit: Any one wanna bet IEEE will be there tomorow? lol im 97% sure it will.

Just don't do the two examples they have on the exercise 10.3, even the man himself can't get the answer correct, sad...

my teacher was so gay
he copied that exercise for our assignment thingo test
n at the end i got a totally diff answer n i was right
the prick marked me wrong
i had an arguement... n i thought it may have been the best chance to get him fkd from the school...... he doznt know jack shit man... we tought him the software course.. all he did was make us summerise the book..

anyways tomrow we put him to test lol...

saw the last 2 years paper its like WTF? lol. wheres all the lexical analysis and shit. man its like 90% of the theory u study is not in the exam, and the 10% ur not all that good at will be in it.
