Okay my subjects are as follows:

General Maths (2 unit)
Engineering Studies (2 unit)
Standard English (2 unit)
PD/H/PE (2 unit)
Industrial Technology (2 unit)
Studies Of Religion (1 unit)

Okay now all year ive been under the impression that only my 5 subjects counting for 2 units each will make up my 10 units for my HSC.

I understand if I do well in religion then that unit will be used, but I know that it wont be because I will epically epically fail at it.

Anyway ive got in this UAI calculator, put in my marks for the first 5 subjects then put my mark in for the religion one, of which was a very low mark. The ATAR estimate come back really really low.

Im just asking, if I bomb out in my religion exam, which I know I will! will it have any affect on my ATAR?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you bomb just your SOR exam, it will not affect your ATAR because your other 10 units would be used to calculate your ATAR.

Unless when scaled, your SOR mark is higher than the scaled mark of one of your other units (basically 2U subjects are split into 2 one units and scaled).
