ok can anyone explian me how the school mark effects your uai.
Does it matter what ur school mark is, or does it matter what ur school rank is?

School ranks = basis of 1/2 overall HSC mark


HSC exam mark = Assessment mark and exam mark are averaged. Assessment mark is moderated due to your school rank in relation to fellow peers and students performance in the external exam.

To my understanding, it works like this.

50 marks from school assesments

50 marks from the writen HSC

= 100 total marks, which then are scaled, and the top 10 units are added

Your number goes into some huge list,

Some computer spits you a number.


So this means that if you get an assignment, and its weighed lets say 20%, that means really, 10%.

EDIT: The 100 marks is for every subject.

How about with 1 unit subjects?
Is it the same with the whole 50%- 50% thing?
