hey i was just wondering how special consideration worked, whether it affected the hsc marks or the uai. my whole form got special consideration bcos we go 2 a crappy disadvantaged school so id just like 2 know how it affected my marks.

students at the high school i attended were able to apply for the "educational access scheme"....i don't know if its the special consideration you're talking about but i'll explain how the EAS works anyway.

first they determine how disadvantaged you are and can give you points from 1-10 (though above 5 is very rare)...say they give you 4 points..

then you get your UAI....say you get 80 and the course you want to get into has a requirement of 84..

with the extra points that the EAS awarded you, you'd be able to get into this course...(your UAI is still 80 though)

hmmm it cud b, im not exactly sure

rather than individuals applying 4 themselves, the yr co-ordinator just applied 4 1 4 the entire form.
