im writting a speech but i don't how much words it should be considering it has to be 4 mins long
can u plz provide me with a rough estimate

an A4 page in size 12 font is about 3 mins..

It depends on how fast you speak, whether you are taking into account pauses.. nerves.

I recently had to perform a speech 4-5 minutes long for an English assessment. Mine took 5 minutes and was... 900 words. I talked at a kinda average pace, but i had about a week to prepare for the actual thing so yeh. I guess about 750-800 words would be about 4 minutes?

last week i had to do a 4 and ahlf min speech for english and i had 14 small ish palm cards (10 lines on each) and they went on 2 pages.
if you are scared it wont be long enough, make sure you speak slowly and clearly.
also dont freak out that other people are there, pretend its like your doing it in your bedroom.
