Hey there,
Does anyone happen to have accurate, updated 2024 stats for y12 topic 1 The Global Economy? Textbook stats are pretty limited and often not updated - I would REALLY appreciate if someone could tell me any good sources of stats that they might have or seen?

Thank you!

BTW these are the specific topics that I require stats for:
International economic integration

• the global economy

• Gross World Product

• globalisation

– trade in goods and services

financial flows

– investment and transnational corporations

– technology, transport and communication

– international division of labour, migration

• the international and regional business cycles

Trade, financial flows and foreign investment

• the basis of free trade – its advantages and disadvantages

• role of international organisations – WTO, IMF, World Bank, United Nations, OECD

• influence of government economic forums – G20, G7/8

• trading blocs, monetary unions and free trade agreements

– advantages and disadvantages of multilateral (EU, APEC, USMCA, ASEAN) and bilateral agreements

The BOS' economics resources section has plain English statistic sheets that are usually uploaded once a month. From Term 1 until the HSC, those sheets were useful for understanding current trends in the global and Australian economy (while you don't need to memorise statistics exactly, you should have a general gist of the overall economy). I also looked at the RBA's chart park and their articles, or statistics from TradingEconomics and the ABS. ArtofSmart also uploads videos explaining recent trends but that can be time-consuming. This website (https://bloom.study/stats/) is also pretty helpful but the stats are 1-2 years dated. Good luck with your upcoming exam!
