we had to do a stress management seminar at school a while back...we had to get into this "soft circle" (wtf) and do this meditating thing where you vizualised your "happy place" (i repeat: wtf) and then we had to give each other a shoulder rub, and then we did breathing exercises. basically it was like a warm up for drama class, only funnier because the teacher in charge is usually really strict and she was acting like a total hippie...

but if u want stress relief that works - just lie down on ur floor and close ur eyes and just completely space out, dont think about anything, just float away...when u snap out of it u feel soooo good.
lol go the hippie teachers :D :D :D

 100 posts. yay! :p

i don't get stressed, i don't know why, just doesn' happen to me really i spose.
You have NO IDEA how lucky you are. :p But I try not to take it too seriously... after all, it's only the hsc, which affects the uni course you get into, which affects your first job after uni, which affects all your jobs after that, which affects your whole life...
K maybe I don't try that hard not to be stressed. :)

lol. it may affect those things, it may not. who cares, its not going to change how good you as a person can be nor how successful you as a person can be in life, physically/finacially or even spiritually successful.....

the HSC is just someting you have to do :) might as well do as good as you possibily can, NOT to get those things but for yourself, to set the tone for the rest of your life, do well in the HSC for you not for anyone else :)

Your optimism is the most valuable thing you will ever have.

I got told by a doctor that the best thing to eat when doing study for exams and stuff is apple juice and vitamin B!
They help with concentration and and stress and help the body do other stuff... :uhhuh:

Sorry not very useful; but I have a Berocca every day and drink apple juice when studying -> seems to help me stay motivated and I seem to be able to think clearer! Blah blah, I'm probably just shitting on, but yeah...go apple juice! :p

NB: I wrote this exact same reply in this thread ->

3 steps to overcoming stress

1. Become an obsessive compulsive flower power peace and love hippie.
If being a hippie isn't your thing, then
2. Smash dinner plates.
If you can't afford to continue smashing your dinner plates, then
3. Get a punching bag. Anger and stress can be relieved by short but intensive bursts of physical exercise.

PS: Only the 3rd point was intended to be taken seriously ;)

Trance ... Just play it for an hour lying down on your bed staring at the roof, listen to the trance, even if you got stuff on your mind, if you listen to the music eventually everything dazes of and you get lost in the music and feel alot happier afterwords
i agree totally, sometimes i just HAVE to listen to trance to keep me going combine that with a bit of exercise and relaxation works great.

The BEST stress release (apart from spending time with my boyfriend) would HAVE to be chocolate!! And it's all in the mind s just keep telling yourself that you're gona do alright and convincing yourself you're not going to fail and everything will be fine!! Trust me - it's the same as going to get a blood test and freaking out then your muscles tense up and wen they stick the needle in it hurts like hell!! BUT if you sit there and tell yourself it doesn't matter and think about how it will all be over soon - it doesnt hurt!! Hehe!!
