Re: HSC study conferences- Anglican Youthworks.

Ohh, springwood.
I'm IN springwood, and didn't even realise study camps exsisted. =|
Are they expensive and would people recommend them?
My focus is shocking, and I need a kick up the arse.
Would this help with that at all? =)

Gah.
Year 10 it wouldn't be a problem.
But now money sucks wang =)

But I shall see. If someone tells me it's good/worth it, I'd definately want to go.

I just realised that didn't make much sense.
My point was, if now I was in the same financial position as I was in in year 10, it'd be fine.
Damnnnn.

Okay, apparently I might be able to go, and if I did, it would be to the one in Springwood, but I was just wondering about specifics- is it worth it, what are the dates, what type of stuff is involved- or possibly where can I find all this out myself.
I would really appreciate anyone whose been to one of these letting me know what they thought; did you find it helped you to study etc?

Study camp question

I'm going to one this afternoon, and was just wondering if anyone had been to one before, and how much is normal to pack?
Atm, I'm thinking I'm going to look ridiculous=|

P.S, wasn't sure where to post this, so sorry if it's the wrong place!

Thanks in advance =)

i just got home from an anglican youthworks one. highly recommend it.

was really good.

you spend 6 hours each day studying and have heaps of free time.

if you want to know more/ask any questions pm me.

im going to go to another one in spring hopefully.
you don't need more study camp, do you? (because you would have finished HSC by then)

Anyway, were there teachers to teach you? Any good HSC stress tips?

spring camps are just before the hsc.
and its worth going to them.

i found the tutors really good. they will help you with anything. explain concepts, read through essays, mark maths papers, everything pretty much. they pay to be there and help you.

stress tips? refer to other threads. the tutors dont give you the same lectures you've heard all before.
they expect you to get straight into it and do your work for the set amount of time..

we were reflecting this moring, and some of the kids who were forced to go there actually said they were glad they did come. they got more study done then they would have at home and they had a great time as well.
Sounds like a great camp. Thanks for the info

but after reading it, it maybe what i need. i cant study for more than like 5 minutes at a time before i find something else to do, im thinking about maybe going to one of the ones.

only thing is im from Mid north coast,, seems a long way away.

also, wouldnt know anyone etc

do most of the people at these camps know each other? ie are they all from the same school?

You 08ers are weak. If your school doesn't provide enough education assistance for you, then you're obviously in a public school.

EPIC PHAIL.

Nah, I went to Kats study camp too, and it was awesome XD
Lots of people didn't know anyone (like me...) and heaps of people came from around Sydney. Only three locals I think.

But anyway, it was great, and I'd also recommend it.
That's my two cents.

P.S Jon; most people there went to private schools =)

Lol. Bullshit.

Private schooling means you get a real education.

Twit yourself, two fingers might do the job.

I think some people might be motivated to undertake work and study which isn't just the bare minimum...
