Biology is the worst subject for me! No matter what I do or hard I try, I can never get higher than 65, which is really bad anyway you look at it. Ive tried memorising notes, which was sucessful to some degree, but because of my lack of motivation and severe hatred of this subject, It never makes much of a difference. Rank wise , I just made the top half of my cohort, 14/30. So, is it worth putting in so many hours of study for bio when it won't even count for my atar, or should I just focus on my other subjects?

I reckon you should still study for it, as you might surprise yourself + since you have 12+ units (i'm assuming), it's always good to have a backup just incase.

No use putting the work in through the year and not finishing it off

If it isnt going to count towards your ATAR, and biology is just messing with you, don't bother with it. Focus on your other subjects.

If you have 12 or more units, probably just sacrifice Biology to make sure you do as well as possible in the other subjects. Although maybe do cram Bio in the couple of days preceding the exam- I'm planning on doing the same for Maths!

If it definitely won't count (like you are doing HEAPS better in other subs and you don't understand bio) then stuff it imo. Cram the night before for it but ultimately only your top ten units count

Yeah, as others have said, it depends on how many units you have. If you have 10 or 11 units, you must study for it but if you have 12 then you can just ignore it until 1-2 days before the exam and cram the shit out of it.

If you have 12 units or more, be my guest. Just do a quick bio cram for the ungodly probability it would count other your much better 10 units as a back up.

if you're absolutely sure it's not going to count, then don't even bother cramming for it, study for your other exams...then just make random answers up during the test, and laugh about it afterwards :)

If you have 12+ units, and you know it's not going to count - why not just drop the subject?
