Hey guys, how has everyone been? :)

Now that Year 11 is coming to an end has everyone started buying study guides, textbooks ect. for next term?
I need some advice when purchasing study guides and all that jazz.
First off how does everyone buy their study guides? Off Bored of Studies, ebay or new? Because we are the first year through at our school I cant get any cheap off the year group above me. How much do youb recommend I spend?

Also, what book would you recommend me purchasing if I will be doing these subjects:
English Advanced
English Extension 1
Chemistry
PDHPE
Mathematics
Biology (unsure)
Maths Extension 1 (unsure)

And one last point... isnt it annoying that they are changing the English course so we cant score cheap secondhand ones anywhere.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I think its a better idea to buy textbooks/study guides on boredofstudies and ebay as it is usually alot cheaper than it is @ retail price. You'd be looking to save atleast 50% on each book and basically you get exactly the same product.

What are the best textbooks? Well, in my opinion for maths, different text books would suit different people. But in saying that, the two most renowed math books are writtin by cambridge and fitzpatrick. They are great for 2u, 3u and 4u i believe. Also for maths, buy some HSC practice questions books.

For Chemistry perhaps get conquering, context and/or macquarie/macmillan

I've noticed alot of people have "excel" textbooks, sure they're cheap (20-35$ retail) but i dont believe they go into enough depth.

BTW: Check the HSC sections for each of your subjects. Theres usually a post concerning textbooks for each of them.
