Hopefully 3 hours of study a day. (Friday off)

With 45 minutes-1 hour dedicated to maths.

Re: Study plans for Year 12 course

Quite an intensive plan, you worried about overworking and getting demotivated after the first term?
Well I have one night (Thursdays) off to just do no work or at least just do my homework at a relaxed pace.
Also maybe you should form a study group with some motivated friends too so you can stay motivated :D

Seriously guys, get some fking sleep. I dunno about you, but I cant function without proper sleep. Sleep whatever you need, for me it was 9 hours which I struggled to get but when I did get it it was awesome. Next, pay attention in class, make notes on all your subjects well in advance except Maths where you need to keep on top of homework and you should be alright!

Also, get organised. I was a little OCD, so I perfectly organised my folders on google drive nicely, got tonnes of past papers for the year and get folders, pens etc. etc.

I'm doing fourteen units, including non-ATAR religion (compulsory). Planning on doing two to four hours a night of study, except Fridays when I have to go to work/eat ice-cream semi-comatose while reading Pride and Prejudice and watching surprisingly addictive French romantic comedies. Where are all the humanities kids this year?

Re: Study plans for Year 12 course

Yeah I think you are right... The thing is I don't want to end up realising I haven't put in my best for the HSC :/. The problem however as you said would be overcompensating and burning out before it even gets to January haha.

Haha and what would you be doing the 8 hours you get home from a school day :)
I did a few hours a day and burnt out for year 11 and ended up with a near last rank for most of my subjects in assessment 1 for year 11. True story :p

1 hour study a subject equates to 4+ hours study a day...you might burn yourself out LOL don't forget to sleep haha

I already drew up a study timetable tailored to the classes I have on the day or the day before, so I can do revision or homework straight after I get home (about 3.5 hours a day of study/homework). It will be a miracle if it works though because I cannot follow diaries, timetables or schedules to save my life.

How much you studied in year 11 is a good indication of how much you will in year 12.

Haha, you're so classy. Do you eat your icecream out of a glass goblet as well? Gee Pride and Prejudice..
I'm doing no sciences, yay. And as for humanities: Economics, Legal Studies and Ancient History. Maybe 2-4 hours is good. Definitely re-working out my plan tonight.

I REALLY hope that won't be the case for me.

How do you already know what classes/school timetable you have? I really want to work mine out but I won't know until the first day of school. Hopefully I'll have free periods. I cant do work straight after school.. Usually too tired, hmm definitely going to focus on sleeping 8-9 hours each day.

Mine is pretty much the same as what I have now. Any subjects I drop, that's where my free periods are. Not sure about any morning classes for ext 2 maths though.

I have 9 free periods a cycle!! SO GREAT :D haha I devote 30 minutes after school to pure snacking so #hscweightgain come at me.

Good luck with the sleep!! I'm lucky if I scrape 8 :/
