I think it is rather refreshing to see a "non-left wing writer" expressing their views in the herald, which has really become the voice for the cafe-latte set of inner Sydney. The problem is there are too many idealists like you 'boofheads' out there who believe the world can be perfect, when quite frankly all the arguements that are created do is create more problems.
For example, We can partially blame the feminist movements and "lefty brigades" of the 70's for both the rapid decline in the standards of effective discipline in our public schools and the corruption of the Australian justice system in regards to leniency... each has undoubtedly contributed immensley to the degradation of our society and all the values on which it was based and developed..
All I can say is at least these people are now part of a minority, with the left only really representing an irrlevant and annoying proportion of Australian society...
