dammit one of my assignments has an instruction to print it out on a laser printer WTF, why? i don't thin my printer is laser, but shoudl i jus save it to floppy disk and print it out at uni, they have laser printers right???

yeah..anytime they specify stuff, they hafta have the resources available at the uni so that students without the money to buy their own aren't disadvantaged..

always jus go do it at the uni if you're not sure

i dunno i have to design a pamphlet on publisher, so maybe laser like prints both sides on one page or something not sure

it would be for the quality...what side a printer prints on depends on the settings you specify when using the software...it's just because the quality of laser printers is better than that of dot-matrix and ink-jet printers because they are capable of printing at a higher resolution...this just means that all the dots or pixels of colour print closer together to give a sharper picture...so for pamphlets and stuff it would obviously print better. Don't worry because as others have said you can use the printers at uni
