Fair enough. If I can get both Ext. Jap. and Ext. History (don't know about lines) then I can drop maths and have only 12 units, including Ext. Eng. 2. If I can only get one of either Ext. Jap. and Ext. History (I'm doing Eng. 2 no matter what) then I'll drop to General Maths and do 13 units. Shouldn't be so bad.

I'm only picking up one extension next year, because I can't drop any subjects (or, rather, I don't want to except in the case of Maths, in which I *can't* drop it). Still, 14 units is enough for me.

I feel the same about my subjects - I love them all, except Maths, which my mum made me do.

lol. 14 units is enough for anyone. :D

Hehe, too right.

I should be doing General Maths, but the Air Force accepts no less than 2U for pilots, so I have to do it. Even if I fail ;)

i guess

i am doing all three of those sciences (bio, chem, phys) and i am also doing ext eng and ext math. and i would say that the sciences are the best of my subjects, i like them lots. so my advice would be don't pick any subjects you don't like, despite the workload. (i would rather do chem than something bludgy, like hospitality or something)

Errr. To anyone Yr 10'ers reading this:

Keep in mind that while people might mean well by posting all this "advice", the Yr 12's might currently be in a state of madness and disillusion due to upcoming HSC, Trials, Major Work Hand In Dates, etc etc. Therefore, their "advice" *cough* can be subjective in many ways

I am going to add to this list. Listen, faint hearted ones:

Beware of:

Extention History

Extention 2 English

THEY WILL EAT YOUR SOULS.

lol! i wanna do those subjects next year. i'm doing a 'test-run' of ext.2 eng at the moment and it seems alright?! haha

DO NOT CHOOSE THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:
---------

Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Business Studies
Anything Below English Advanced

---------

Definitely do not!!!

Sciences are BS now...

the workload of eco + legal studies = < Chemistry!!!

1) What's wrong with Business studies? It's easy enough for all to grasp.

2) Sciences are becomming very much humanities oriented, which is a good thing. Just look at last years exams. :p

3) English Advanced and Standard are scaled the same. :)

1. Biz = capped subject + poorly scaled
2. Phyx + Chem are still more scientific than eco + biz lol :p
3. A 90 in eng advanced will contribute more to your UAI in a positive wayt than a 90 in standard eng.

btw. only one person in history has got a band 6 in eng standard (90 HSC MARK!!) lol :p
in addition 90 in standard is not better than 90 in advanced eng..

that is like saying a 78 in 2unit maths is the same as a 78 in 4unit maths (NOT TRUE!!)
