Hi everyone. I have a research task on superconductivity and there's a couple of questions that i can' get. Any help appreciated

Expain why superconductivity and magnetism are natural enemies.
Discuss the forces acting on a magnet and a superconductor when placed in a magnetic field.

I'm assuming your asking about the meissner effect and levitation. So repulsive magnetic force supporting the magnet equaling the gravititational force pushing down.

what about the eddy currents ?

Eddy currents induced in the superconductor by the permanent magnet (or whatever you're using, but a permanent magnet is rather common) produce a magnetic field that perfectly counters that of the magnet itself- hence the levitation. In light of this, a superconductor is a perfect diamagnet.

Eddy currents are not a force, which is what he was asking about.
The "eddy currents " produce a magnetic field. The interaction of the two magnetic fields produces the repulsive magnetic force I was talking about.
