One of George Clooney's much hyped Oscar chargers. What did everyone think of the movie?

i didn't care much for this. waaaaaay too many characters and plot threads to follow, although i thought it was wrapped up satisfyingly enough. but altogether it felt like a two hour talking heads session posing as a thriller too confusing to be politically enlightening. visually cliched too; the way the camera floats and jerks around people in some scenes as if to give a 'you are there' feel made me wonder if the filmmakers have actually been around people and realised it's easy to keep your head still and observe them.

but yeah, i liked the way it ended. and the ambient music score was nice.

Bourne Supremacy - worst movie ever for doing that.

I didn't really notice it so much in this because there were not really any action scenes but when they try and do it for action like the Bourne Supremacy it's just confusing and annoying.

It is a stupid film technique and should be stopped immediately.

I think Mel Gibson did a great job playing James Samson, the arms dealer, in this movie. He's gonna win the Best Supporting Actor oscar for sure.
Mel Gibson?

i really got into this
i'm not sure how this works as a thriller but i really enjoyed seeing ideas this pertinent presented in a movie this complex. performances were generally strong. i think the 'jerky' camera was probably overused but created a mimetic style which suited the film.
