how long is a diploma at tafe for IT, do i have to go through certificate 4 ? since i didnt study computer in high school.

when do you start? if you start on cert 3, it would take about 1 1/2 years.

Cert 3 -> Cert 4 -> Diploma -> Advanced Diploma

each cert/dip takes half a year to complete.

If you haven't done IT at school they would start you at Cert 3.

Following this process 1/2 year for Cert 3

1/2 year for Cert 4- depending on discipline and fast track. Otherwise 1 year.


1-2 years for Diploma.

Advanced Diploma is 2 years as far as I am aware.
