taxes -> fiscal? or micro-economic? (1 Viewer)

hey all,

im kinda confused
which category would taxes fall in?
like the GST, or taxing businesses and taxing in general.

would it be be considered a fiscal policy or micro-economic policy?

It's generally fiscal policy

but if it's a changing of the tax structure (eg, the implementation of the GST) then I think it's microeconomic.

Just think - monetary policy = interest rates, fiscal policy = everything else. Microeconomic reform is basically used to modify small areas (hence "micro") of the overall fiscal policy before or after it has been given for a certain year.
