wat is a tagline? is it like a title of the text which is used again and again? for example.. martin luther king ' i have a dream ' and he uses those words throughout his speech.. if this is not an example of a tagline.. what is the technique called when this happens?

tagline i thought is used more commonly in advertisments ie. maybeline's tag line is "maybe shes born with it, maybe its maybeline" and BMW "Sheer driving pleasure". You usually associate a tag-line to a certain company and works as a marketing gimmick.
the teachnique above, id say is just repetition.

id tend to agree --> a tagline is commenly used in advertising, like kimmeh said. for martin luther king, although his phrase has almost been turned into a tagline line, in discussing his original speech i think id stay with reinforcement of message via repetition
