hey every1... is it true that if they don't ask you "how" you dont have to put any techniques in and u still have a chance in gettin a band 6 answer.. ?

I'm sure you'll still have to talk about the techniques...if they asked you 'What have you learnt about image in this module?' what would you talk about? I'd say techniques...you can't talk about the plot..

No matter what, they want you to talk about techniques!!! Even if they don't say how they mean how!!! Don't forget in standard english there is no such thing as a band 6

'How' will nearly always enter into it. If you're asked "what have you learned..." you should say "I learned how...". :p

I'm still unable to fathom how this (false) rumour continues to spread. :confused:

well same as me but i think the combination of

-No One achieving Band 6 in a row
-Poor candidates making up the "rumour group"


and im sure other things that are making others think that standard's band 6 is not available.

yeah u always have to put in techniques.. how my teacher taught me, always think in every paragraph:
S: statement
E: example (quote etc..)
E: effect (techniques)

and remember that in question 3, always talk about ur specific change (world, self or perspective) so if the question just says change, cross it out and writing changing "...." :)

lol it's better to replace the acronymn for example with X

then all you need to think about in english is SEX

there was a post in advance about writing a paragraph known as SEXY..my teacher taught me that...

as for technique...even if they dun ask u, just shove it in to make it look good...coz u never know what the marking guideline is gonna be...
