anyone know why my upload is so shit btw (my family's on a 50/20 plan)
Ask for a line test from your ISP?

Otherwise, play around with the router settings or see if you have to download any updates for your router.

I did that and our internet speed went up by 1.00 Mbps for upload and download.

Are your uploads being throttled (eg have you been torrenting/seeding alot), or is there something else shaping your uploads like your router's QoS algorithms? Try with a different device as well to see what it gets.

Wow I just moved to my studio at university for my PhD degree I'm starting and this is my internet speed. Bruh it's like 50 times faster than my house I used to live with my family.

Not counting the free wifi on campus, I have seen some ridiculously fast internet speeds at universities here and abroad... I can't remember the name of the service but there used to be a single login which got you onto wifi at campuses around the world (or at least there was back in the late 2000's).

Yeah running on the Wi-Fi at uni I had around 160 download and upload. Didn't expect it would be that much faster on the ethernet cable

Now that I'm on Vodafone 5G Home (instead of GigaComm's FTTdp) I'm having to make do with these less impressive speeds...

Although still better than the NBN100 which is the best I can get in this unit.

This is the highest speed I've ever seen. Probably because I'm the only one in the house using the internet right now.
On a normal day it's around 4-5 download, 0.5 upload
