In reply to the title of the thread, it wasn't a hard exam, though some of those who say it was "SO EASY" might think it wise to withold their comments until after they get their marks back (then post it here so we can laugh at your great hindsight).
Anyway, too much conics. I hate conics. Tywebb-there wasn't a great deal of number theory, only q 7 maybe, but Arnold and Arnold surely set that rather than Mr PB.
ALso, with regards to scaling, 4U only scales well if all the candidates do well in 3U. That is the logic behind why ext2 maths scales better than ext2 eng--4u english students don't neccessarily do well in the advanced exam.
So yes, if you all want this exam to scale well, do well in 3u
