I dont think i did to well. But i spose thats to be expected with the amount of effot i put in to it. But its weird, i struggled on the easier questions, but were able to get the harder questions out ( i couldnt even remember how to do 1a, grr).

Overall, fair test me thinks. Just which i studied more for 3u, rather than 2u.

where is everyone???

lol... well hmm.. i guess last minute cramming and studying paid off a little

i'm hoping for a pass...

on many occasions i felt like i was looking at last yrs catholic paper...

it's almost identical in structure and question selection

luckily i pracrticed the 2004 paper this morning...

i'm just hoping i pass... *fingers crossed*

but it was a doable paper...

we had the further applications questions replcaed...

ahhh i wish i had done success..... 6 marks were directly added from there... one was 3d trig... another on perms and combinations

but i think thsi yrs was harder than other yrs... yes? or no?

You guys are lucky then because my trial was absolutely impossible. Not a single straight forward question. Every single had some trick or something to stop you getting the right answers...
I've done hard exams in the past but this one was the hardest by far. I struggled.

hmm the binomial/series thing [4 marks] in question seven i couldnt get out...

question seven.. couldnt get "T" (how long after the probjectile at angle B after angle A]

question six.. couldnt get "prove for n = k+ 1" FUCKERS!!!! [prob got 2/4 for that]

hoping for 80%.. maybe.. not..

i couldnt get binomial out either, i think i got the T, but im not sure, as i didnt get an "exact" value.. and i couldnt prove n = k +1 either, such a bummer.. i can do all of the induction q's in our textbook and previous years, but this years i couldnt do.. im also hoping for an 80%

Yeah I just sat the paper then. I found it easier than I thought it would be, but I kind of messed up some stuff, like Q5 - volume of cone, Q6- induction, Q7 - last two parts. I think overall I'm looking at a mark anywhere between 60% to 80%(80 being fairly optimistic), most probably something in the 70's.

yeapss... so did I.. thats wah our teacher told us to do.. prove it true for n=1, then assume true for n=k.. then try n=k+1.. if can't do.. still do the "conclusion"

yes 1a is 2/5

also the induction question was altered by my teacher, she split it up

first was to find an expression for teh 1+2+3+...+(n+1) or whatever was on the bottom

then use that for the induction - which came out nicely :)
