Actually I think you'll find Cowboy Bebop has a pretty similar premises to Outlaw Star, which is also about intergalatic bounty hunters. It doesn't have the same angsty short story feel of Bebop though (Bebop has some very angsty moments. But yeah, it's quite good. Its popularity isn't too surprising though considering the fact that it's probably the second most widely distributed anime after Evangelion, and has arguably the most popular character in any anime.

One thing you have to understand about CB is that the Spike Vs Vicious subplot is just that, a subplot. It's the most important subplot in the series because it concerns Spike's past directly, but you shouldn't be too disappointed if it doesn't tie everything in the series together, as a lot of people tend to be. Don't expect an epic from a series of short stories.

I'd say $30 per dvd for Bebop. However it's probably much smarter to either just get the divx, or buy a bootleg version for cheapo.. maybe $50-60 for the set if you're lucky.

No.. no they're not, angels are not humans. I've heard some suggestions that humans might be angels, but not vice versa. Time isn't really an important theme in Evangelion, so no, time doesn't factor into it. I wouldn't worry too much about the nitty gritty details of the explanation anyway. It's not as deep as it makes itself out to be. It really boils down to a lot of pop psychology and glittered up Christianity. If you really want to see that sort of thing, read the manga of Angel Sanctuary instead. It's available on emule and isn't as nearly as confusing. Just be weary of the incest in the first couple of volumes.

If you watch ep 4 of Evangelion , this will clear it up . Angels share the same DNA pattern as humans ( 99.xx) , and in EoE Misato Says ( something along these lines , I havent watched EoE in a while ) : angels are Humans but they "chose other forms " ( I know that " Chose other forms is in her line )

Yeah.. Naruto manga's getting a bit silly I must say. It reached its peak when Lee fought Gaara, and it's been all down hill since.

How is turning into DBZ better? It's getting stupid because it follows the same stupid DBZ formula. Just take the example of Naruto's fight with Sasuke right now.. one person dominates the other, and just when all looks lost, the other suddenly powers up and gets on top again.

Ghost In The Shell II: Innocence...

Watched half of it already... the story is a typical solving a crime story involving some sex-androids known as... Gynoids that went berserk and started to murder people... the usual philosophy is used here, but it seems like so far... they haven't said much except quoted Milton.

But animation wise... its beautiful... 3D backgrounds featuring 2D animated characters... there is a parade scene that seemed no necessary in the movie, but that scene was mindblowing.
