Mai Otome just ended, and... I'm not sure what I think. It had its moments. Somehow I think its predecessor, Mai-HiME, was far better: tighter storyline, higher on the excitement scale.

I'm getting bored of Kashimashi already, and I've only watched up to episode 6

I watched aroudn ~20 eps of Mai-Hime, but dropped it for some reason. Didn't even start on Mai-Otome.

I've been reading so much manga recently (refer to pic below )... Slam Dunk was awesome!

Ahh, I finished both Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome a while ago. I was expecting a shit ending from Mai-Otome like Mai-HiME, but sadly, its kinda fitting. Its a peaceful and idealistic ending. The anime sucked for including Mai, Batgirl and Spiderman waayy too late. There's no Kagutsuchi either. Damn. Only Gakentou ('cuse me, spelling sucks). And I reckon the anime relied on fanservice too much (neko mimi Akane? i never liked all that cat crap).

Arika scores the Blue Sky Sapphire and becomes a Meister Otome like she wanted...
Mashimaro is still back as Queen, but redeemed herself.. like she wanted...
Everyone else back at the Academy is Pearl Otome... like they wanted...
Aswad's got nanomachines from Garderobe like they wanted...
Sir gay and Nina didn't die. (wry didn't they die? wrryy!)

The only casualities in the entire anime were the minor characters + Erstin...

Haha, I'm creating this huge backlog (anime & televisions shows) and that's in it. I'm watching: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (you can skip the first ep and watch it after 3-4), School Rumble 2, Fate/stay night, and Nana. I'll probably watch Ergo Proxy (from my backlog) when I'm bored or feel like bludging.

Pretty good anime for one based on a porno-game.

The game is 90% text. Shitloads of it.

Got Berserk. Got Bleach. Got School Rumble. Finished Chobits. Need to finish up on BLAME. It was a loong time since I last read Slam Dunk. Haha... ages ago. Not a manga person though I enjoy reading CLAMP's works. The guys who did Chobits.

I honestly thought Arika and Nina had burned to death in the end, until we saw her in her ugly pink/blue robe carrying the sunflower. Wouldn't that have been more poignant than Arika serving the fake queen and the crazy little girl getting into Sergay's pants? All three friends being sacrificed.

They kind of put in the children, since that's what some robes were based on. And we got hints: Natsuki with Duran's gun... and that's all I can think of. I don't think giant monsters really would have fitted in with the storyline, so I was happy enough with the bits and pieces we got here and there. Gakutenou's entrance made be positively squeal the first time, though, since she called him with almost the very same words as she did in HiME.

I'm glad Sergay didn't end up as annoying as bloody Taters. His cheese-tastic piece at the end of HiME was just painful.

I wanted to see more of Sara Gallagher.

- Mai's scarf and her Meister Robe: sooo from Fuuka Academy
- Midori's outfit in Otome is from the PS2 game
- Alyssa's a canary! Good reference to her engrish singing in HiME
- Sister is still armed with a bow. Does her jewel have any sexual connotations like her child Vlas did? Not sure... don't remember anything from Static's notes at the end...
- Fuuka Academy is down like the Titanic... where Miyu visited. She kinda played the role as Mashiro (sp?) in HiME. :\

And Sir gay should be dead and better off dead. Getting shot in the back of the head with a gun is serious business. No way his health can recover just like that.

About the OVA or the next series, I heard its going to be a new cast with some characters from HiME/Otome in it. For the next series, I swear... its going to be sci-fi-ed.

Reading the manga at the moment. The drawings are mind-boggling (the same artist as the Tenjou Tenge manga).

I've seen a few caps of the anime, and it looks decent.

Watching Kiba now. Pretty good so far!

Haha, I did the same! :D Haruhi's random episode jumps take quite some time to get used to though. Irritating at most. Awesome show, but I'll probably rewatch it in the proper Haruhi order.
