Re: 回复: Re: The Anime Thread

look for differential equations, physical constants, symbols etc. in the background of the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya intro.
thats a nice one. one of the few animes which doesn't totally ruin the light novel that it was based on.

I personally prefer watching anime with English subtitle.

Dub is absolutely useless.
i totally agree. dubs are absolutely disgusting.

I totally agree on that. The ONLY anime I have ever watched with dubs and actually LOVED is "Hellsing Ultimate", though Ceres' voice was a tad on the annoying side, but that can be forgiven when the voice actor for Alucard does his job so bloody (quite literally) well >=D

Japanese dubs + English subs FTW OH! and one more thing, OVAs FTW! I dislike most re-animated versions because they tend to have the english dubs and diverge from plot T___T

Mmm. I love:

Hellsing Ultimate (obviously. But the eps take forever to get released.)
Death Note
Skip Beat (Airing atm.)
Kuroshitsuji (Airing atm. But it's a little 'shounen-ai'-ish so if you don't want to go there...Don't go there.)
Full Metal Alchemist
Great Teacher Onizuka
Bleach
Fruits Basket (though it such a pity that it diverged from the original manga)
DNAngel
Naruto (gave up because I pretty much got left behind D=)

That's all I can think of >.>

mm I love Alucard's dub voice. Only reason I watch the hellsing dub, not too fussed on the other voices (Integra's is OK-ish though). <3 Crispin Freeman. He also does one of the characters in Ghost in the Shell, forget which one...Togusa? Idk.

Actually there are a couple of dubbed characters I quite like. Whoever does Spike's voice in Cowboy Bebop/Mugen in Samurai Champloo is awesome too (is it Steve Blum or David Lynch? or are they the same person idk)...and Kirk Thornton who does Jin in SC

Re: 回复: Re: The Anime Thread

and um omg, been out of the loop

how did I not hear that a live-action cowboy bebop movie is being made

apparently this has been known for six months

dunno whether to be excited or not apparently keanu reeves is gonna play spike hm :/

but fuck I was obsessed with that show for the longest time. If they make one for FMA my life will be complete

a big revelation for me was code geass, and immediatley after that was claymore (omg so much gore- but was really good). for about 3 months after that all the anime i watched didnt seem to interest me compared to those two series. im better now though, after a good dose of baccano, amatuki and death note

can we get an anime forum??? I'd love to discuss anime on BOS but having it all in one thread is a bit stupid....
