what time were you there? coz i was there yesterday too (thurs)...about 1-1.30, something like that, and i had to line up into the docking bay for a while to get in

I'm waiting for the stupid lines to die down.. I still need to buy a couple of books/references as well.. but I guess I can wait a few weeks.

This is really confusing. I've heard "Get every textbook you can" and "Wait until you start so you don't get a useless textbook"

Should I wait and talk to someone in o-week about what books to get?

Normally you can just wait until the first week and the lecturers will tell you what to get, and even though you may miss out if you leave it a week or two, you don't have to worry about lining up for an hour in the rain. If you do miss out, you can always get them to order one in or just order off the website, or try the co-op or the 2nd hand, it's generally not a big problem if you don't have the text book, oh yeah, and there's the library.

So I suggest waiting until you start, and if I remember right, o-week isn't about getting helpful answers, it's about free pens and frisbees. :p

I think there is a 5th edition stewart out now, i saw a new looking one when i went to get my linear algebra textbook a couple of weeks ago

has anyone actually bought their textbooks off that united campus bookshop website? how long is delivery? or should i just go and line up for hours??
