YU (Hot fuss- saturday nights) at potts point went off! It took a while to get started but by around 2am it was great.

I've never heard such awesome music in my life!

I'm also gradually becoming a huge fan of Oxford St clubs. Not necessarily the seedy ones (Midnight Shift etc.) though, I'm just loving the atomsphere... And loving the fact that most places don't actually close :/

Still looking forward to checking out Club 77 and the Bang Gang DJ's live!! I've heard great things.

Haha. Out of interest...? Anyone ever had a bad experience with the Inthemix.com photographers?

Very much dreading the photos coming out tomorrow :p

They have a few. I'd say YU is the only one worth checking out though. If you are into the Bang Gang DJ's you would love Hot Fuss. Seriously, I can't tell you just how good the music was.

I wouldn't say it's ultra exclusive... They did have a VIP list, but it wasn't worse than say Tank or the Moulin.

They also had free drinks until 12 :D

I'd rather die than go to Moulin again.

Well, playboy2njoy, if you're into the bar & lounge thing maybe try Cabana at St Leonard's? The bouncers are dickheads though.
Not my favourite place either butgive it a try.

Bar 333 on george st is alright.

OR Lowenbrau! Try the mango beer!

what do you think of purple sneakers?
my friend and i went there on fri night and even though i liked the music and stuff everyone was so scene, it was kind of intimidating just the two of us as stupid as that sounds
a whole bunch of us are going back after schoolies tho, i got the impression it would be better with a crowd of friends

also can anyone reccommend a good retro-ish club? we're trying to find somewhere where one of our friends will actually enjoy the majority of the music. not too expensive; some of my friends don't have jobs and stuff

i keep meaning to go to 77 and haven't yet
i did like purple sneakers, it was pretty cheap and the music was good, it was just, yeah, definitely a place to go in a group rather than 2 people
