In an assessment task, I managed to simplify a question right down in algebra and then get the following answer

2+2=8

Is any1 able 2 top that?

lol i havent made a mistake dumber than that lol jkz  \

In my last maths assesment the question was simplify (4x^2+3)(4x^2-3)

my answer was 16x^2+9 it was pretty dumb as teh question is clerly related to difference of two square, the answer shudda been 16x^2-9 but oh well lol.
I cnt remember prior mistakes i've made in the past :(

When I was year 10 (last year), I wrote 6 instead of x in my working out.

7 x 7 = 19.
2 x 7 = 9.

- (a + b) = -a + b

t + 1 = t^2.

1/0 = 1.

Classic.

a^2 +b^2 =c^2

a+b =c

NOTE: wasnt me. some1 in the last test did this but the teacher wouldnt say who

Integration of (Sin 5@)

Mine would be mistakes a decimal point for a multiplication sign (not the 'x' times sign, the "." one from wikipedia) But this was not completely my fault, the decimal point was literally that big! LOL

But besides that, not simplifying √(225x2), i simplified the
x2 but not the 225

You still would have got it wrong if you realised in the exam that you made a mistake as the answer is 16^4 - 9.
16x^4 -9.

Not rounding off to a particular significant figure would rate highly as one of my stupid mistakes.

My biggest maths mistake was probably studying 3 Unit lol.

Probably the dumbest Maths mistake was back in Year 6, when I was doing those Pre Uni "Selective Trial" thingos. From about Question 10, I screwed up, so for Question 10, I was circling question 11, and for Question 11, I was circling Question 12 etc etc. Got quite a shock when I got my results back. :D
