There was a question that said differentiate this, but for some reason i differentiated the first bit and integrated the second bit :(

Lost a mark, would have gotten full marks!

Would have been ok if i got the harder questions wrong but cmon :eek:

in the half-yearlies - ap question

a+12d=1
a=7
therefore
7+12d=1
12d=-6
d=-2...............

wtf was i thinking...stupid brain.

+ i always integrate instead of differentiating and vis versa

one of the qusetion said ..

use the results sin^2 x = 1/2( 1+ cos2x) to show that sin^4 (x) = something i forget

I knew what i was doing i wrote my answer like this

WHEN you expand cos( 2x + 2x ) you get sin^4 (x) = something

never ever do this guys =)

*sigh* So many times I've either copied the answer wrong from my calculator or pressed the wrong buttons in the first place. My working is correct but the answer is weird. I usually lose one mark for that >.<"

First Extension Maths assessment this year, question 1, (2x-1)^3...began expanding using pascal's triangle (not a fan of formula) went 1 3 3 1
then cubed all the x's and not the 2...ended up with 2x^3-6x^2+6x-1....
same exam question was 3sec^2x = 3 + tanx, stupid me replaced sec^2x with 1-tan^2x rather than 1 + tan^2x...came first nonetheless =)

2m+3m=6m o.0

Also in the same assessment for integration by substitution, I wrote x+1 on the first line, but u=x-1, so x=u+1. In the second line I replaced x+1 with u+2. On the third line, I must have looked back to the first line because I wrote u+1 :( I got the rest of the question but lost 1 mark because of that part >.<"
