Re: The Official Football Thread

vieira --> man city
This is the best transfer for Man City...:mad1: they really need a 34+ year old energy-less midfielder in their first XI....i wonder how Patrick is going to get playing time with more versatile players such as Kompany, De Jong both fit and available.

Vieira, ur rich enough, u shoulda gone to Lyon, as they need some experience in their young team, and you could of helped Maxime Gonalons (DM).

The one thing that I dont get is why none of the EPL teams are taking a little gamble of powerhouse Felipe Melo, he'll easily fit into any team in england...the juventus tactics make him look like utter shit. :(

Re: The Official Football Thread

Newspapers report there is a 6 month get out clause in Vieira's contract at Man City. If he can not make return to the premierleague, then they can cancel his contract.

His impact will be his winning and fighting mentality. He is a winner.

Edit: mate, there is no 'is', replace that with a 'was', then it'll be true.

He 'was' a beast in his glory days at the Gunners, and Wenger knew when Vieira didnt have it, thats the day he moved on. He 'used' to have a 'fighting' mentality, now its like a telling someone legarthic to use unavailable energy.

Nonsense. You do not lose your drive with age.

This is City's best signing, Vieira was imo the best midfielder in the EPL last decade outside Ronaldo. Influential, a ball winner, an outstanding distributor, he had it all. He is exactly what City need at this time if they are going to finish top 4.

Vieira has been consistently shit for the past few years though. It will be bitter sweet if he proves me wrong though - I like him as a player but I hate City

Re: The Official Football Thread

wishing injuries on players? that aint cricket man
haha, why does it have to be cricket? i bet all the managers hope that their opposing team's best players are unfit, or unavailable. Anyway...Arsenal would still finish 2nd in the EPL with or without Eduardo.

There first team XI is good but Wenger should spend some funds, all they need is a player like: Matuidi or M.Diarra in Defensive-midfield.
