is it possible to download any ilectures or only the ones on your webct? Is there a page you can get links to subjects that are not on webct? My webct hasn't updated yet and I want ilectures.

WebCT and the unit webpages would be the only two that would have them AFAIK

You can download any subjects' ilectures, with a bit of fiddling, and typing the URL in manually, AFTER YOU'VE LOGGED INTO WEBCT. At least (because, they've updated the version of iLecture they're running), you could at the end of last semester. Very useful for getting ahead (until they deleted them a week after semester) ;)

However, there's no list of ilectures. There's 200+ subjects, and you'll have to type each one in, sequentially... I was going to write a little program to do it, but because of the security that WebCT uses, that wasn't possible...

Have a fiddle with the HTML, if you can't work it out and need it, PM me... or, probably easier, email the course coordinator ;)

Um, ok.

The link for one file is this: ttp://ilecture.mq.edu.au/ilectures/med ia/D31EF6A013add33FB4Ppm1 ECE1BB/2005-08-04-1305-15800.mp3 (edited spaces in)

That's for ENGL106. How do you turn that into, say AHST101? Although the date's obviously in that link, the subject name isnt, and the rest is kinda whacky.

His name is McHarg. He revises the previous lecture for the first 10 minutes of every lecture. If you don't fall asleep and take proper notes, you don't have to do ANY reading. :D

What flyin said.

He's excellent, and he thinks up excellent analogies to describe concepts. I had him as my tutor last year too. Don't miss the lectures!

ilectures:
should i be downloading the 16K or 32K and why?
I always download 16K because it's smaller, but if downloading from uni there isn't much difference in time.

32K is just a higher quality - better if there was music/movies or quiet bits in you lecture
If it is just talking, 16K should suffice.

And yes, I salute iLecture too

Yeah 16K should suffice since its only voice, but I can't stand the quality haha (audiophile)
