LOL. I'm still perfecting my story and I've yet to write a reflection statement. I'll do that tonight.

I handed mine in today.
I actually don't feel awesome. Just sort of tired and bored.

It's kind of nice not to have to worry about it, though.

I finished the final draft at 5 in the morning last night (oh the irony) - I feel very glad... The reflective is half finshed and i shall be finishing it togninht. As it's a speech, the recoring will have to come the night before... It's ghastly! So very VERY close though...

I tapped out the last keystroke in my story.
Now I just got to edit it and do a reflection statement.
Could someone tell me what sort of questions they ask in the Viva Voce?
I have it tomorrow and everyone else I know doing it did it ages ago.
good luck to you all

The Viva Voce was practically like the reflection statement:
What is your purpose?
Who is your intended audience?
Why did you decide to write this?
What are your major concepts or focuses?
What is the setting?
How has log helped in the writing process?
etc

With my one the questions were pretty generic, and since I had to do it at 7am I was still half asleep, but the teachers brought me breakfast so all was good :)
Umm, I know some schools get more detailed in the viva voce, like what are the names of characters and why have you chosen such names?
But they're usually in that general drift...

In the resources section someone posted a list of questions that they could ask us... hope that helps. I don't have my Viva Voce until the 1st of September either. I can't forget about EE2 until then unfortunately.

Just leafing through my last pages in the journal when I found this sheet which I thought might be useful for anyone who still hasnt done their viva voce. They asked all of these questions and listened to my extract within the ten minutes.

1. What purpose did you have in mind when you started this project?
2. Do you believe you achieved this purpose?
3. Did your purpose change? If yes, why?
4. What is your final/ new purpose?
5. Who is the intended audience for your text?
6. How has the choice of audience affected the style, form, structure and language of your text?
7. What are some of the problems that you had to overcome?
8. Were any of these problems insurmountable?
9. If you had to do it all over again, would you do it differently?
10. What you keep the same?
11. The particular extract that you are showing us today, where and how does it fit in your whole text?
12. What did you try to accomplish with this particular extract?
13. How important is this extract? Can you explain why?
14. How easy was it for you to know how you wanted to finish the project?
15. Is there anything else you would like to add that has not been mentioned?
16. Could your investigation have been described as 'ongoing, systematic and rigorous'? Give examples.
17. Has the journal been the 'pivot' for all your Major Work composition? Explain. (when they said this the first thing that came to my mind was...please? :) )
18. Can you explain the stages of composition that your major work had undergone?
19. Does your journal demonstrate your process of inquiry, interpretation, analysis and reflection on the knowledge and understanding that you are gaining? How is this evident in your chosen text?

Damn, that was long but I hoped it helped! And writing this made me realise that I have some loopholes in my reflection statement. Meh
Good luck!
