I like their first stuff heaps, especially Prisoner of Society and i'm really liking their new song, Who's Gonna Save Us.

id have to agree, their first album was just amazing, the second is still pretty amazing but was hard to live up to the first.

anyway modern artillery comes out on the 13th, the 2 songs released from it (WGSU and One Said) are both great so it should be pretty decent.

i'm going to get their album...and i'm going to see them at Livid. One of my friends in the States is pissed off because he was going to finally get to see them (they were going to be supporting GC over there) and then they had to cancel

generally, most people agree that the first album was better, but if you think on it, they had their whole lives to work on the first one and only a year or two for the second.

it's good that they took a break to figure out their direction, now they're back to their original greatness

Same. I acquired their self-titled pretty shortly after it came out.. Those were the days. I'm not into them now, but they're pretty good for what they do.

As for 'Favourite Australian Band', this may be a minority opinion, but I'd nominate either Augie March or The Dirty Three.
