hi, i'm think of doing The Lord of the Rings for my 1st text of physical journey) how would i start this essay off? what do i need to look for in this film?, what do i write about?,

you're mainly looking at the film techniques used and how they are used to convey meaning. ie a slow pan across landscape will mean a character remeniscing about their homeland. also, think about the music, how the characters are dressed, any symbolism, reccuring motifs, lighting etc.

and i was wondering if my related texts were acceptable

in the end - linkin park
and
icarus - an ancient greek story

what things should i really look out for and say?

If i were you id place my focus on to ONE character's journey and how the journey affects him in the end. That's what my eng teacher said
